Are you passionate about helping women make informed decisions that lead to healthier lifestyles and a better world? Do you have a specific, focused topic related to nontoxic living that you’re just itching to talk about? Are you an engaging speaker with a knack for inspiring audiences?
If you answered yes to these questions, we would be interested in considering you for our upcoming event. Please submit a proposal to be a speaker at the Savvy Women’s Alliance “Talk Savvy to Me”

What is Savvy and What is this Event?
Savvy Women’s Alliance is a nonprofit that simplifies nontoxic living for women by providing a welcoming community, discussion tools, and powerful collaborative connections for impactful action.
On June 22, Savvy is hosting its first “Talk Savvy to Me” event, in which four speakers will give short (12 minutes or less) powerful talks to an audience of amazing women who are at various points on their nontoxic journey and becoming advocates for their own health. During this evening, we will celebrate topics, speakers, and our Savvy Women's Alliance volunteers.
This event will be simple yet spectacular, informal yet inspiring.
What We’re Looking For
Passion for Savvy’s mission/women's health/ health of our planet
Ability to present within a specific, focused, and relevant topic related to health and/or nontoxic living
Dynamic and engaging stage presence
Ability to give a talk in under 12 minutes
Not driven by self-promotion
Available to attend the event from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Thursday, June 22, in Plainville, MA
How to Apply
All proposals must be submitted by midnight on 3/31/17 to Team@SavvyWomensAlliance.org, including:
A description of your topic in 350 words or less
Media sheet if you have one
Your bio, in 120 words or less
Link(s) to a video of you presenting at a past event or sample
Links to your relevant social media
We select speakers based on presentation style and topic as well as the overall combination of speakers/topic.
Tips for Presentation Ideas
Choose a topic that is related to health and nontoxic living, but that is narrow enough to be sufficiently covered in 12 minutes or less. We suggest the following tips for crafting a brief, yet powerful, talk:
Tell a story
Focus on the implications, urgency or imperativeness of your topic
Share what can we do/ what is the
Include 3-5 take actions/
This event will have opportunities to promote you, your book or business through the website, official speaker bio, social media, etc., but the talk itself should not be focused these aspects.
If You Are Selected...
You will be contacted by a member of Savvy Women’s Alliance by April 15th, 2017.
You will receive a $125 honorarium at the event. We are also planning on recording the event. If we can, we will provide you the unedited footage of your presentation to use for your own needs.
Send us a high-quality headshot, along with any logo or any additional links you’d like us to include in materials by April 20th, 2017.
We will promote your message further by sharing the video footage to our national chapters. Those who aren't able to attend can then use your message as inspiration to act.
Cross-promote the event to your following late May-June through Facebook, blog or Twitter.
Plan to stay until the end of our event to meet our audience members and/or to sell your book if you have one.
We may post a feature blog on you and/or your topic after the event as well. If you are interested in this, we can talk further about collaborating.
